Happy December Readers!!
Can you believe how quick this year has gone? It seemed like only yesterday I started my diet only to crash it the next day!!
NaNoWriMo –> 2018
I Failed. Big time. I managed to get the first three chapters of my book done. This month has been particularly difficult. I am currently working in a very stressful environment. I don’t wish to go into much detail, but I found myself having to take a break from a lot of things, just to get through. needless to say, my novel went to the back of my mind, and I focused on self-care, which was just as important.
Once upon a time Kayla loved Christmas
Now she’s more dedicated to her job than decking the halls and can’t wait for the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ to be over.
Until she arrives at the enchanting Snow Crystal ski resort, determined to win gorgeous owner Jackson as a marketing client.
But wooing Jackson professionally quickly turns personal as they spend flirty festive nights in this glittering winter wonderland.
With snowflakes swirling and sleigh bells ringing…could Jackson be the one to make Kayla fall back under the Christmas spell?
The Season to Sin – Claire Connelly
Bad boys are her weakness…
When bad-boy billionaire Noah Moore storms into psychologist Holly Scott-Leigh’s life she is immediately tempted to sin… But he’s her potential client, and she’s never crossed that line before. This festive season Noah will show Holly how good it feels to be on the naughty list!
A love story about what happens after you meet, or rather, don’t meet the one.
Laurie is pretty sure love, at first sight, doesn’t exist anywhere but the movies. But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man who she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there’s a moment of pure magic…and then her bus drives away.
Certain they’re fated to find each other again, Laurie spends a year scanning every bus stop and cafe in London for him. But she doesn’t find him, not when it matters anyway. Instead they “reunite” at a Christmas party, when her best friend Sarah giddily introduces her new boyfriend to Laurie. It’s Jack, the man from the bus. It would be.
What follows for Laurie, Sarah and Jack is ten years of friendship, heartbreak, missed opportunities, roads not taken, and destinies reconsidered. One Day in December is a joyous, heartwarming and an immensely moving love story to escape into and a reminder that fate takes inexplicable turns along the route to happiness
December Book Goals
I have 12 books to read by the end of the year. It should be a piece of cake, the weather is pretty bad and I am pretty dedicated this time of year to reading Christmas themed Romances – (I’ve already read 3)
Finally, I’m aiming to complete 25 in 5..
Christmas is such a magical time of year, and I love listening to carols whilst reading, especially with an advent candle each evening. Perfection!
